2011 is shaping up to be a pretty schmick year in music. With new albums from the likes of Converge (!!!!!!), Trap Them (which I’ll post about next), Earth, Mogwai, The Get Up Kids, Ulcerate and KEN Mode, there’s plenty of musical fodder to get pant-wettingly excited over.
If this cut, Future Heart, is anything to go by, then expect Young Widows’ ‘In and Out of Youth and Lightness’ to be another reason for 2011 to rule righteously. A logical extension of their brand of rugged, Touch and Go-esque noise rock, the track also sees Young Widows experimenting with smokier, more expansive textures. Add to the equation some seriously rad album artwork, and you’ve the ingredients for one mother-fucker of an anticipated release!
Expect ‘In and Out of Youth and Lightness’ out April 12 through Temporary Residence.
